Hi Stampers,

Here is a cute card I did using the Lots of Tags sizzlit dies.   I have had these dies sitting in my drawer for about 6 months  and I don't think I had ever used them until a couple of weeks ago.   Now they are one of my favorite things.  I think they are really cute and I wanted to do a card using multiple  tags.  This would be a great card for a teenage girl.   It reminds me if my daughters bedroom because it is decorated just like this!    If you haven't tried the Bride and Groom specialty papers - you have to!  They are just glorious and paired with a piece of textured cardstock - you can make some gorgeous cards!

Supplies:

• Ink:  Black
• CS:  Whisper White, Melon Mambo Textured and Black
• DSP:  Bride and Groom Specialty papers
• Ribbon:  White Taffeta
• Punches: Small Oval, Trio Flower and small circle
• Big Shot: Lots of Tags Sizzlits, Flower Daisies #2
• Accessories:  Filigree Designer Brads

Easter Card

I have a beautiful card I want to share tonight.    I had this card on display when I had class this week, and a bunch of the ladies asked about it so I thought I should at least share it on the blog!    I will probably do this card at class in April, but for those of you who want to copy it at home - I will share it now.   What I love about this card is that these flowers are made with the two-step bird punch.   The flower petals are made with the wing - and the stem of the flowers is actually the birds branch, but I cut off one of the leaves.   Get your punch out and give it a try!

Supplies:

• Stamps:  Well-Scripted
• Ink:  Orchid Opulence, Regal Rose
• CS: Orchid Opulence, Regal Rose, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery
• Ribbon: Certainly Celery Grosgrain
• Punches: Two step bird
• Big Shot:  Bigz Die Scallop Circle #2, Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder
• Accessories:  Linen thread, Circle Scissors, Sponge Dauber

Stamping Tips:

• You will notice the flower on the left looks a little different than the other two flowers.  I had the wings turned the opposite way on that flower - which I think looks more like a tulip whereas the other two flowers look more like a rosebud.   You can decide which way you like it best!
• I used a sponge dauber to rub matching ink on the edges of each of the petals.

Vintage Vogue!

Today I want to share a few cards made with the Vintage Vogue Stamp set in the Occassional Mini.   This is a really easy set to work with and you can make a nice variety of cards with it.   I bought this set in acrylic and it made me love the new clear mount stamps!

Supplies:

• Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel, Tiny Tags
• Ink:  Certainly Celery, Rose Romance
• Cardstock:  Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
• Ribbon:  Old Olive Satin Ribbon
• Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware

Stamping Tips:

To line up the border stamp perfectly - I traced the whipsper white piece that I had done the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel on, directly onto the Regal Rose piece of CS.  Then you can line up your border, and your pencil line gets covered up when you add the Celery layer to the white layer.   I hope that makes sense!

• CS: So Saffron, Dusty Durango, Whisper White, Old Olive

• Accessories: Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads, Stamping Sponge

Stamping Tips:

• To make the Saffron rectangle in the middle of the card, just cut a rectangle out of of the center of a piece of 5 x 3  3/4 piece of typing paper.  Run a little two way glue along the edges of the rectangle - let dry and you have a perfect rectangle for sponging the ink.  I swirled the sponge on the paper - leaving it white towards the center.

Worn and Weathered

Hi Stampers!

I cannot believe this but over 250 people have visited my blog since yesterday.  Thank you all for coming to visit and I hope you will keep on coming back!

The card I am going to share today is one of my favorite cards.  I actually designed this back in December when the new Occasions Mini catalog came out.  Whenever we have new stamps to work with I host the swap for my upline/downline groups and I have to say - I am really lucky to be connected to a group of amazing stampers.  When we do this swap the pressure is always on to create something that will hopefully impress the other participants.  Here is my card:

Supplies:

• Stamps: Well Scripted
• Cardstock: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive
• DSP: Sweet Pea Paper Stack
• Ink: Soft Suede
• Punches: Two Step Bird, 1 1/4 inch square, corner rounder
• Ribbon: Pretty In Pink Taffeta
• Accessories: Sweet Pea Stitched Felt

Stamping Tips:

• This card is pretty easy to make but I will mention that I did adhere the pieces of DSP to Whisper White CS before I punched them- just to make them a little sturdier.  Then I just rubbed the edges of the squares along the Soft Suede ink pad to give it that worn and weathered look.
