Control Freaks Christmas Tour

Hi Stampers! 

I am so excited to be participating in my first Control Freaks Blog tour.  For those of you who are new to my blog -  I hope you enjoy what you see and for those who already follow my blog - I am honored to be able to connect you with all of these amazing stampers!    I hope you enjoyed the fabulous cards that Jason shared on his blog!   I especially love his white snowflake card.   There is really nothing prettier than the simplicity of a white on white card!  

I have a few really great projects that I want to share today.  About a month ago I co hosted a  downline Christmas Stamping Event with my upline Susan Gardner and I am going to share the collage that I designed for the event.   I love designing collages and this was one so fun because I used all new products from the Holiday Mini Catalog, which was a great way to showcase the fabulous things we had to work with this year, and show how well they all work together.  The frame on this collage is about 9 1/2 inches square, and the little squares are 2 inches.   I hope you enjoy it!!

 The next project I want to share is a card and an  ornament I designed for my Holiday parties this year.  This card  turned out so pretty I think I may use it for my Holiday cards this year.   If you have lots of DSP scraps - this is what you can do with them!    I used the Perfect Pennants Bigz die to cut out the trees and I figured since I was cutting out the little ones - I might as well make some big ones too!    I know you all love our champagne sparkle paper, and the bonus is that you get that fabulous piece of chipboard with it.   That is what I used to punch out the trees!

No Peeking!

Hi Stampers,

I was in Hobby Lobby a couple of days ago and I was surprised to see that they have almost all of their Christmas stuff out in the store already.  Wow!!    I guess this really is Christmas in July!

Each summer my upline Susan Gardner and I host an event called conventional.  We started this quite a few years ago - for all of our downline members who don't get the opportunity to attend convention.  It is a great couple of days of stamping and if you live in the Milwaukee/Chicago area and are a demonstrator who would be intererested in learning about this event, please send me an email!  This year our theme will be Christmas/Holiday stamping, so we signed up for a Holiday card swap at convention with hopes to get some great Holiday samples!   I chose the stamp set called No Peeking   and I have already had a few customers order this set so I guess I am not the only one who liked it!

I have been busy making collages and I will be posting about a dozen of them to Etsy today.   If you are one of my KY or WI customers and you want to get one - just send me an email and we can get you taken care of so that you don't have to ship it etc.   I did a mixture of some in black frames and some in the walnut frames this time so check them out!   There is a new link on the bottom left hand corner of my blog that will take you to my Etsy shop - and it will always show if I have anything available for sale.  I am going to see if I can get that moved up higher on the side so it is easier to notice.  Here is the link again!

It's time to decorate the house!

Hi Stampers,
It is Thanksgiving week, and since I plan to decorate the house for the holidays - I thought it was the perfect time to share the Stampin'Up! house I created.

Gingerbread

Hi Stampers,

I love gingerbread men so I had to make a card with this cute little guy on it.   I haven't done a challenge in a while - so I decided that would help me figure out what to do with my little gingerbread guy.    I have recently discovered Bakers Twine - and I was so hoping Stampin'Up! would have it in the new mini catalogs that will be coming out in January but I am sad to say they didn't.   I will be sure and let them know they are missing out on something fun - this stuff is so cute on cards - and I thought it was absolutely perfect with the gingerbread boys!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi Stampers!

Today I want to share a really fun card that we did at class last week.   This card has a little bit of a different fold - which was created from a mess-up!    I wanted to do a trifold card and I scored it wrong - so then I decided rather than throwing the card into the scrap pile I would just score it correctly and at least figure out my sample.  In doing so - I got this idea to put some DSP between those two score lines I had made, and tape it down and before you knew it I had done something new and interesting!

Winter Wonderland

Hi Stampers!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day so I wanted to share one more card this evening.   This is another card that I designed with the Candy Cane Christmas DSP.  I love the colors in this card and of the embossed polka dots always make me think of snow!

• To color the trees I created a mask and used daubers to color - then added a little accent with the markers.
