Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 8 ~ Ink Blending

Hi Stampers,   
Today I created a card that featured ink blending!    For my card I used 4 colors of ink, and blended them on a piece of white DSP that has a silver foil design in it.  I just used sponge dauber to blend the ink, starting with my lighter colors in the middle of my paper, and working with darker colors towards the outer edges.    It is a fun technique and really changes the look of the papers.  If you notice the DSP behind my card, that is what it looked like before I did the ink blending.

Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 7 ~ Green like the Grinch!

Hi Stampers, 

Today’s card challenge calls for a card that is mostly Green and I have a super-cute card to share with you.   As a Stampin’Up! Demonstrator I rarely buy or use anything that is not from Stampin’Up!, but every once in a while you come across something that tickles your fancy and for me it was this reindeer die!   Everything else on my card is from Stampin’Up!, but I did pull out a few retired items to use!  I hope you enjoy this little cutie!

Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 6 ~ Color Combo

Hi Stampers!

Today’s card features a Color Combo - I had to use Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Black on the card!   I love this color combination so it was fun to work with.   I put together a quick and easy card using the stamp set that came in the October Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Christmas Card Making Challenge, Day 5 - Driving home for Christmas

Hi Stampers!

I have spent my evening enjoying our Stampin’Up! Virtual Convention this evening and while I was enjoying the event I had time to create tonight’s card!   I think this may be my favorite  Christmas card so far!    The theme is Driving Home for Christmas!   This card features the Coming Home Stamp Set and dies, and the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.   I have made a few cards with this set and DSP and it is a really fun set to work with!

Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 4 - Sketch Challenge

Hi Stampers,

It is Day 4 of the Christmas Cards!   Today I had to design a card following a sketch challenge.  I actually really loved this layout and have lots of ideas of other stamps and papers I can use with it!   Here it is!

Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 3 - Candy Cane Christmas1

It’s Candy Cane Day in the Card Making Challenge!!   I was excited about this because we have this super cute candy cane die in the Sweetest Borders Dies set, but I hadn’t used it yet.  I decided to do something a little different with the die - most of the cards I have seen with it just use it as a border but I went all out and cut two borders and covered my card with candy canes.   For a minute I thought it might just be too busy but I decided to go with it and here’s what I made!

Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 2 - Paper Piecing

Hi Stampers!

It is Day 2 of my Card Making Challenge and today’s card features a technique called Paper Piecing.  To do Paper Piecing I stamped on a piece of Designer Series Paper, and then cut it out.  This was done on the Ornament and the stocking to put some design onto the stamp design, without having to do any coloring!   I also decided to go with some unusual holiday colors and used two of the In-Colors for 2020-2022 - Magenta Madness and Just Jade!

Christmas Card Making Challenge, Day 1

Hi Stampers! 

It is the first of November and I am ready to start sharing some of the fabulous Holiday cards I have been designing.   The theme for Day 1 is Winter Winds, and luckily we did a card at my last class that fits that category perfectly!    This was a really fun card to make, I love these stamp sets that we have that are used for making scenes in nature.  This particular set is called Snow Front.   After stamping the scene, I ran the piece of white CS thru the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and the texture on your scene makes it almost look like a painting!  I hope you enjoy the card!
