Welcome Stamping Friends! Thank you for visiting the Control Freaks Blog Hop. If you just came from Bree Renwick’s Blog I hope you enjoyed her beautiful creations! I thought her cards were out of this world!!
This is such an exciting time of the year in the world of Stampin’Up! because we are about to unveil our new 2020-2021 catalog. We were able to preorder a few items from the catalog so this month I will share a few things I created with the new Bird & Branches Stamp set and Dies!
My first card is a sweet little card that features 2 of our new colors!! The darker blue is the new Misty Moonlight. When I first saw this color I was so excited to pair it up with the Seaside Spray blue, and it did not disappoint. I have also used the new Just Jade green card stock for the branches and it is a nice addition to our color palette.
In case you are wondering where I got this beautiful backdrop for my card - it is two sheets of DSP out of the New In Good Taste DSP pack that is in our new catalog. This pack of DSP features 24 different designs that are wood, brick, stone, tile and fabric. This pack of paper is beautiful and will provide some great backgrounds on our cards and projects!
Here’s what I used to made this card:
- Bird & Branches and Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp sets
- Bird & Branches Dies
- Soft Suede, Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray Ink
- Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Seaside Spray, Just Jade and White CS
For my next card I decided to combine the new Ornate Garden Specialty DSP with the Birds & Branches Bundle. These two groupings go together beautifully. I absolutely love this round die and I cannot tell you how excited I am for the new Confetti Flowers Border Punch. This will probably be my favorite and most used item from the new catalog. Whenever you have a card that just seems like it needs something a little more - you just add a flower!
Here’s what I used to make this card:
- Birds & Branches and Ornate Thanks Stamp Sets
- Birds and Branches and Ornate Frames Dies
- Soft Suede Ink
- Ornate Garden Specialty DSP
- Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Rococo Rose Calypso Coral and Pool Party CS
- Confetti Flower Border Punch
- Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon (used on project below)
Finally I will share a cute little round box that I made to coordinate with my card! The base of the box is a tin can! This uses all of the same supplies as the card above!
Thank you for visiting the blog. If you have any questions please drop me a note! Stay safe and I hope you can visit again for next months Blog Hop!
