Day 12 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I am here to share my card for Day 12 of the Card Making Challenge.   For Day 12 the theme is Winter Cards.   It seems kind of weird to be making Winter cards in April, but it has been snowing a tiny bit the last few days and I have been seeing lots of pretty birds in the trees so I guess it makes sense!   For todays card I pulled out my November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and this is what I created!   If you haven’t tried Paper Pumpkin - it is a monthly subscription where you receive a stamp set, mini ink and all of the supplies to make a project and/or cards.  This was a card kit, but I changed it up a bit!  Paper Pumpkin is a great way to try stamping for the first time or send as a gift to someone who enjoys crafts.  If you would like to learn more about it please let me know!

Day 11 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Today I will share my card for Day 11 of the Card Making Challenge and the theme is Fall Cards.    For this card I used the Daisy Lane stamp set and Come to Gather DSP from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.   I love the colors in the DSP - they are a nice twist on Fall!

Day 10 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers! 

It is Day 10 of the Card Making Challenge and today I will share a lovely card for summer!   I decided to work with the Lilypad Lake Stamp set and create a card that reminded me of a beautiful summer activity - the regatta!  

Here’s what I used to make this card:

• Lilypad Lake Stamp Set
• Lakeside, Well Written  and Stitched Rectangle Dies
• Subtle 3D embossing folder
• Pineapple Punch, Pumpkin Pie, Black and White CS
  
• Bermuda Bay and Black Ink
• Stampin Blends for coloring

While I had these supplies out to make this card I decided to make a card using the Lilypad stamps so I will share that also!

Day 9 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!   

It is the ninth day of the challenge and today I get to share a card that is all about Spring.   I was excited to use the March Paper Pumpkin stamps because those rain boots are so cute!   I hope you like today's card. Check back the next few days as I share some cards for the rest of the seasons.

Day 8 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!  

Well I’ve made it to the 8th day of the Challenge!  Today I am excited to share a card I designed following a card sketch.   This is always a great way to make a card if you are uninspired.   Here is a picture of my card and I will also share the sketch!  I will admit the thought of putting a piece of paper on my card that is crooked does throw me off a bit, but . . . I followed the rules and I love it.  This card is simple by my standards, and that is a challenge for me so I really enjoyed this challenge!    You may have noticed I often add some DSP to the envelopoe also.   I think this little extra makes your handmade cards even more special!   Who doesn’t love receiving a pretty envelope and special card in the mail?!

Day 7 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Today I am going to share my favorite card that I have designed for the challenge.   The theme is a card that features the colors of the rainbow and I don’t know about you, but I find these bright rainbow colors really brighten my day!    I wanted to make this a simple card that just highlights the colors, and I thought if added a little texture to the colors it would make each strip special!  One tip I want to share - the embossed designs are much more defined if you wet the paper  a tiny bit before embossing. I just use a baby wipe and rub it across the cardstock before I put it into the folder.   This card is so fun, I will definitely be doing this design again and I think it will be great no matter what colors i use!

• Black ink and clear embossing powder
• Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade, Black and White CS
• Tin Tile, Sequins (R), Mosaic, Parisian Flourish, Dots (R) and Ornate Garden embossing folders
• 2 inch and 2 1/4 inch circle punches
• adhesive dot embellishments

Day 6 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Today I will share my card for the 6th day of the Card Making Challenge and the theme is “Christmas Came Early”.   It is a little strange making a Christmas Card this time of year but I know there are some stampers who work on Christmas cards all year so hopefully this will be a little inspiration!

Day 5 - 30 Day Card making Challenge

It is the fifth day of the Card Making Challenge and my task was to copy of the layout of  one of my previous cards.   First I will share the original card and below it you will find my new card.

Day 4 - 30 Day Card Making Challenge ~ Something new

Hi Stampers, 

It is Day 4 of the Card Making Challenge and today our task was to design a card with a stamp set that we have never used before!   While I had many sets to pick from, I decided to do a card with the two sets of stamps that came in our most recent Paper Pumpkin Box  - from March 2020 - called “No Matter The Weather”.   I thought this would be a great set to use in view of our current situation with everyone stuck and home at the start of Spring.   Here’s my card!
