Sarah and Sophie!

Hi Stampers,

Today I am going to share another one of my artisan projects -  a scrapbook page.   These are two of my favorite pictures I have ever taken - some of you may recognize them because I know I posted them on my blog at the time when we first got Sophie and she was a little puppy.  Since we had a stamp set with scottie dogs on it - I had to make a page with that set before it retired!

Summer Smooches Sneakers!!

Hey Stampers!

I have something really cute to share with you today.   This year for the first time I decided to apply for the Stampin'Up! Artisan Award and while I wasn't chosen - I did have a lot of fun making my projects and can't wait to try again next year.  I also want to send out a big congratulations to those who were picked - I cannot wait to see their work when I get to convention in July.   Of all the things I did - this was probably the funnest project I made, just because they turned out so stinkin cute!    These are my smooches sneakers!   If you are going to convention this year - hopefully Stampin'Up! will have them on display!   I hope to see lots of people wearing fabric covered sneakers at convention - get to work ladies!!

Stampin Supplies:

• Fabric, modge podge, paintbrush
• How to: - I used a piece of thin fabric and a pen to trace the shapes for the pieces.  It took a bit of cutting and trimming to get the pieces to fit just right.  Then I just used modge podge to attach the fabric to the shoes and put a couple more layers on top to keep everything in place.  It was really fun to do!

For the man in your life!

Hi Stampers,

I just realized Father's Day is this weekend so I thought I should share some of the manly cards we made at class last week.  You may recall I was waiting for the UPS man to deliver my box of new products last week when I had class.  I am happy to report the UPS man arrived at 12:25, and my stampers arrived at 1:00 pm!  This is one of the cards I threw together before they got there!   My cards for this class were supposed to be sort of simple, so that isn't overly embellished!  This card uses our new Ronald McDonald Set - a portion of the money from the sales of Moving Forward goes to the Ronald McDonald House.  I love this set so much I designed three fabulous swap cards with it  for when I go to convention.  I want to share those with you too, but I will wait until it gets closer to convention time!    

My dad has a birthday just a few days after Father's Day - so I had to design a couple of manly cards.  I thought this grill was really cute but I must confess whenever I share a card that features any sort of punch art I can almost guarantee I did not come up with that myself!  I am just not that clever.  Here is the card that I used for inspiration!  http://prettyinky.blogspot.com/2010/06/happy-fathers-day-bbq-card.html

It's Graduation time!

Hi Stampers,

Tomorrow we are off to the final Graduation party for this season!   Our niece/Goddaughter Cora graduated a few days ago and I wanted to have a special card and present for her.   A few weeks ago my pal Susan Gardner showed up at my house with about 30 Memory boxes and she told me she thought we should try to do something with them.  We put on our thinking caps and I went digging around in the back storage room to see what kind of treasures I could find  and between the two of us the cardstock was flying as we went into creative mode and this is what we came up with!   We made about 30 of these Graduation Memory Boxes to sell in a little shop.  I think this is a fantastic gift, we made little packets of embellishments in a variety of colors, so that the box could be personalized with the school colors.  The graduate can add the photos, and some stars, arrows, hearts or flowers, she or he could hang their tassel from the box handle and they will have a great piece of wall art commemorating a special day!   We still have a few boxes left if anyone wants one for their special graduate - or we could change the 2012 to a 2013 and you will be all set for next year.  Here is a picture!

Now let me share the card I made for Cora - I pulled out a little bit of old and mixed it with a few new things and came up with a really nice Graduation card.  I always loved this stamp set!  

I will be back with a few new cards in a day or two - I downloaded lots of pictures tonight but I can't share everything at once!!

Happy Anniversary Collage

Hi Stampers!

I am cutting cardstock for a class I will be having tomorrow and I am really living on the edge!   The class starts at 1:00 pm, and I am expecting the UPS man to deliver my box of new products tomorrow.  I thought it would be really fun to have a few cards made with brand new stuff, so I have two cards designed and cut for new stamps that I don't even have yet.  I sure hope the box gets here on time or I am going to be in BIG trouble!  Tomorrow I will share some of the cards!  

I have been busy working on collages and tonight I am going to share a 50th Anniversary collage that I made for one for one of my stamping friends in KY! Some of the things I used on the collage were current and some were very old Stampin'Up! Stamp sets.  For once I am glad to have a huge stash of old stamps in the basement!!   Carole had given me a few photos from her wedding and I told her I would make her a special card, but decided a collage would be even better.  I thought the picture was so sweet in the middle of the collage - Happy Anniversary Carole!   If any of my blog followers would like a special gift for an anniversary send me a note!
