Hi Stampers!
When we moved into the new house one thing I was really excited about was setting up my stamping space and I am truly blessed that my husband wanted to go ahead and finish off the basement right away so I wouldn't have to stamp in an unfinished basement. It is always fun to set up a new room and I really love how things turned out. Everything is close at hand, which makes this a great place to work. One of my very favorite things about my new stamp room is my display wall. I was looking for a fun and different way to display my cards so I asked my dad to help put something together and I think what he did turned out fantastic! Thanks Dad!! I will start by showing you a picture of that. . .
How cool is that! Right now I am displaying a bunch of Christmas cards, most of which I designed but there are also some fantastic cards that I received in the swap I host for our group, which is filled with the most amazing stampers! I will leave those up until I am done with my Christmas card classes. Hopefully this will help all of my customers come up with the perfect design for their holiday cards!
Here is a closer view of the cards!
Here is a closer look at my Big Shot and Punch Cart. I love this! It is so great to have all of my punches and big shot stuff together, and I can wheel it over to my table when I am working.
Here is a view of my room as you enter thru the door. Don't you love the new clear mount stamps - they look so much better on the shelf than the old boxes did!
And here is a view of my table and CS sorters! This was set up for class tonight - we made some really cute Halloween cards and owl treats. I will share pictures of those in a couple of days!
You probably think I am a really neat and organized person but if you saw what was beyond that glass door you would know the truth!! Someday I will show you some pictures of that!!
When I have my classes, we use this room and then I also set up tables in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs and in the rec room, which works out great!
This is the little table in the hallway. It makes a great little spot for a couple of people to work on a card. I set up bigger tables in the rec room! This is where my customers made three of the squares for their Halloween collage tonight!
That is all I have to share on the stamping room! Now here is one more Spice Cake card that I wanted to share with you!
- Stamps: Stitched Stockings, A Word For You
- Ink: Pool Party, Chocolate Chip
- CS: Pool Party, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Daffodil
- DSP: Spice Cake
- Punches: Scalloped border, Stocking Punch, 2 1/2 inch circle
- Big Shot: Perfect Dots Embossing Folder, Sweet Buttons Embosslit
- Ribbon: Daffodil 1/8 inch taffeta and Vanilla 1/4 inch grosgrain
- Accessories: Mini brads
Stamping Tips:
- I love the idea of using the stocking to make a stick horse. One of the horse trainers that worked with my daughter, is due to have her first baby in October so this will be the perfect card for her!
- For the mane I cut off one edge of the grosgrain ribbon so I could fray it. Then glue or tape it down!
