Here are some cute little owl treats we made at our Halloween class this week. These little owls are so quick and easy to make using the Pillow Box die. What a great way to use up our scraps of DSP!
Stamping Supplies:
- Cardstock and DSP ~ whatever you like
- Big Shot: Pillow box Die
- Punches: 1 inch circle (for the DSP), heart to heart (feet and beak), 1 1/4 inch circle (White of eyes), 3/4 inch circle (black of eyes), Large oval (wings).
- Multipurpose liquid glue
Stamping Tips:
- Crease all of the folds on the pillow box before starting. Then tape or glue the side flap to make it into the box - but leave the top and bottom open, and leave the box flat while working on it.
- Punch out 9 1 inch circles from your DSP
- Start from the bottom, put a row of glue and attach 3 circles. Just glue along the upper edge of where the circle is, so you can curl up the bottoms.
- Then add the other two rows of circles.
- THen do a row of glue and attach the mouth and eyes.
- When all of your glue is dry - curl up the bottom edges of your DSP circles.
- Then slip the wings undeneath the flaps and eyes, with a little glue.
- Slip the wings in underneath the eyes with a little glue
- Fold the box. I used the glue to adhere the top and bottom of the box.
- Lastly you will add the little feet. If you place them just right - the little guy will stand up!!! Just slip them underneath the bottom row of circles and you may have to give them a little bit of a bend!
